Roof waterproofing with bitumen membrane

A new and better roof

862-8783

What is bitumen membrane waterproofing?

Bitumen membrane is laid in layers across the roof surface and welded into one continuous waterproof skin. The underlay handles the moisture and the mineral-surfaced cap sheet protects the skin from sun and weathering.

In Iceland a roof meets gusting wind, driving rain, freeze-thaw cycles and salt. A continuous skin that tolerates movement and cold is what keeps the roof tight — and the seams, upstands and outlets are where it is decided.
